Open Question: should i just give up?

i've liked this guy a lot for over two years now, and i don't even know why! he's really shy and awkward. when he first moved to my school he was unbelievably shy around girls, to the point where he couldn't look at them when he talked to them(i still liked him though) and now he talks to girls sometimes, but he never lets people receive close(guys or girls...)... i've been trying so difficult to converse with him and figure out his interests but it never works. he just acts really uninterested and gives short responses. and i mean sometimes it gets to me. :( i know he loves golf, but when i bring it up he still doesn't receive interested. it's not just around me, though, he acts this way around everyone. do you think i should give up? i mean i know he's a really silly and sweet guy, but i have no clue what's going on? i've been trying for so long! btw, i know he has a lot of emotional baggage. his mom died two years ago...

Open Question: Ok so Ive been occasionally finding a strange tanish yellow brown organic ball thing while hiking?

I have no clue what it is. It's kinda a yellow tan color and is really fragile and It has a crunchy exterior "shell". It kinda resembles a golf ball. It also is semi hollow, it has sort of like a cotton inside sorta like those weeds with the white tops where when u blow them the seeds every blow off and float away. I don't know if it's like from a plant some type of mold or if an animal made it. Does anyone know what this is or has seen one. I'm in the Texas coastal plains area if that helps in knowing what it is. I really really wanna know what this is.

I was sitting in front of the bus today, a obnoxious black boy and girl were right beside me. In front of us in the distance, right smack dab in the front lawn, was this old man. He was dangling, pathetically trying to swing the golf club. He looked completely ridiculously The kid started to giggle, and then the girl, and then me uncontrollably. And then the whole bus laughed. And then I remembered...that guy... Just yesterday, my dad and I were playing soccer in the backyard. My neighbor was coming down with that man following behind him. That man looked quite odd, not right. He was irregularly shaped. His arms were long and gangling. His back was hunched over. He looked very unhappy, a miserable mess he was. After he left my neighbor came and started to talk to my dad. As it figures out, the man had a medical condition. I completely forget. But it was destroying him. He won't give up, my neighbor said. He said that he has had it for quite a long time now. And, he has been in my neighbor hood for more years than I have, and I never knew him. His speech is inaudible, and my neighbor is going deaf, its difficult for them to communicate. It's just so tough and unhappy. My neighbor was telling me how he was doing golf. He was terrible at it. His swing was just awful. But he won't give up. And the man is 42 And, I was laughing at this guy. I thought he was ridiculous retarded old man playing golf. He was not. He had a medical condition. I was laughing at a guy with a medical condition trying to swing some golf balls around. When it struck me, I felt completely ashamed. I felt terrible. I feel unhappy. How could I be like this? Open Question: Is Palm Springs a good place for a young couple and baby to live?

My boyfriend and I have been looking around for houses to rent and Palm Springs seems to have very resonable prices for 2-3 bedroom houses. Apartments are also resonable. Neither of us have actually been there. We just hear that it is veeeeery HOT, there are a lot of retired/seniors living there, not many jobs, lots of casino and hotels, golf and tennis on like every corner... So far, we feel that we could handle every of that. Oh and we also hear that it's pretty diverse. We wouldn't want to stick out and be uncomfortable. I'd just like for someone who either currently lives there or who has lived there to tell me of their experience and to tell me if much of what we heard is true. We do plan to visit before making the move but I thought this might also help.

Open Question: When playing Golf....?

....I've just started playing Golf & I seem to have 2 main problems. The first is when using irons after teeing off - I very rarely receive any elevation on the ball, it just seems too close to the ground and does not go very far. I tried 'scooping' below the ball with the club but the same happens. Secondly on teeing off I either slice or hook the ball every time. I have researched this on the internet and there is advice on this but would like to hear it in Layman's terms, any help would be appreciated, Thank You!....

i'm just curious...i want to lose a little weight. i'm definitely not obese, just a little on the heavy side. i'm 5"6' and 140 lbs. i want to receive to 115. i am joining the track, tennis, and golf teams, and am also going to start training for the marathon this year. and i might possibly play soccer. i have been playing since i was 6, now i am 15. i stopped exercising about 4-5 months ago, and to be truthful, i feel like crap!! i have gained weight, and people don't accept me for who i am now, so i want to lose the extra pounds. but just for some inspiration to keep me determined, from exercise, how much weight did YOU lose? and how much weight do you think i will lose if i exercise consistently everyday for at least an hour, along with eating balanced and healthy meals?
